Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is a famous American woman of business. She is currently the president and the controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss is a California born Buss was raised in an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon before becoming the owner of Lakers, among other businesses. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they'd abandoned her. When she was 19 years old she was able to take over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She also served as director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice-president of the Lakers. Buss and her five sisters took over the Lakers control following the death of Buss' father in 2013. Each sister had an equal voice. In 2013, Buss took control of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also owner of a portion of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
