The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothin However A Number debuted in 1994. The singer was barely fifteen when her debut album was released as Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she debuted her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the number one hit track If Your Girl Only was aware. Aaliyah received international recognition for her R&B songs through this album. In 2000, she was in Romeo Must Die, a romantic action film with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, saw her during an awards show and suggested her the part. In 2002, she was able to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of The Anne Rice novel. She then got into the Matrix by playing Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also performed on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She has received four Grammy nominations in 1999 and 2003. Aarti uses both Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as her professional names. Her acting career began in mid-2000's with minor parts in movies and TV. She has also appeared in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. She has also been featured in commercials for big brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. She is a resident of Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actress.
